Stripes and A Surprise

I always have a weakness for patterns. I love any patterns from polka dots, plaids, stripes etc. I am sure the list can go on forever. Lately, I've been really addicted to animal prints so I decided to experiment some of my favourite animal prints on my lips. The following lip arts are mostly created with Make Up For Ever Flash Palette. Hope you like it!

Excuse the lighting of my skin tone because these pictures are taken during different period of the day.

Aside from animal prints, I have also experiment a new look with a new pattern on my face. I've done a polka dot look before (here) and today I decided to play with stripes look. Let me know what you guys think :)

My take on stripes look. With my wig on, I wasn't able to show you my full eye makeup so I took a picture of my individual eye.

I look a little scary here with just an eye, my apologies if my eye scares you.

Glasses from Firmoo!

Aside from over sized sweater being one of the big trend of this season, over sized glasses is also one popular MUST BUY!

I have been looking for a large square frame glasses for the longest time but they are either too expensive or they do not have the right size that I was looking for. Luckily, I was introduced to Firmoo Global Online Optical Store. Firmoo is one of the world most popular online optical store with over 500,000 fans on facebook !

I like how they have many trendy glasses designs including designer glasses yet they only charge at an extremely affordable prices, the lowest being at $8!!!

The glasses that I got from Firmoo is with out doubt the over sized glasses that I've been wanting to get:

Aren't this baby beautiful? Their shipping was super fast, it only take two weeks for the package to arrive at my door. As you can see from the picture, it includes a soft glasses bag as well as a hard plastic case. The best part of the package, they also include a mini glasses screw driver! I find that is very thoughtful of them!

Since I will wearing this new baby around for the next couple of while, I decided to do a post about ways to wear makeup with glasses. I come up with three ways that I find look best with glasses and here it is:

If you are also interested in getting this square framed glasses, you can find it here. The glasses is only $21 and free shipping for order over $39!

Another great news I would like to share with you is Firmoo is now giving out a pair of FREE glasses/sunglasses of your choice for all of their first time buyer! if you want a free pair of glasses, check out here! All you need to pay for is only the shipping fee.

I also did a fashion look with this new pair of glasses. Enjoy!

Hate your facial moles? Don't be!

Because the facial mole that you hate is actually consider as beauty spot! In fact, I believe a beauty spot can actually style up your look just as makeup do. I have two relatively stand out moles on my face, one it by the side of my forehead and the other is on my cheek. I used to hate them so much that I always cover them with concealer and another big reason is in Chinese culture, any moles on the face consider as bad and will bring bad luck. However, after seeing some of the most beautiful women such as Cindy Crawford, Marilyn Monroe, Natalie Portman, etc. who are known for their beauty spots. I decided to show them off and play around with my look by having a beauty spot.

Brought to you a back to school look with a beauty spot. This will be the last photoshoot taken with my brother's camera as I bought my very first DSLR camera which I am thrilled to share it with you guys on my next post. Stay tune!

As see here, I totally fail to show off my beauty spot BOO!

Off to My Vacation!

In a day's time, I am off to Los Angeles for my summer vacation! Super excited! I will be there for 10 days which means I won't be seeing all of you until the 28th. I will definitely miss my blog and more importantly I will miss all of you! So today I brought you a longer post than usual with a makeup tutorial and my new set of photo shoot.

Since I will be staying in Los Angeles for 10 days enjoying the extremely sunny weather, I figure by the time I come back I will be extremely tan. I always wonder how I will look like if I have brown skin tone so today I decided to do a makeup tutorial of turning myself into a super tan me. Enjoy!

1. Before doing any makeup, ALWAYS remember to prep your skin by cleansing your face with face wash. Any face wash would do as long as it will get rid of all of your face oil. I am using Lancome Face Wash at the moment.
2. Once your face is ready, apply primer to create a smooth canvas on your face and it will help your makeup to last longer. I use Revlon PhotoReady Primer.
 3. To get a tan look, I mixed Joe's darkest foundation with my Marcelle BB Cream to get this natural brown skin tone. I apply the foundation with Joe's blending sponge. On my first try of this makeup, I only use Joe's foundation and I look like I was burnt so I decided to mix my regular skin tone bb cream with Joe's foundation.

 4. Using a dark brown eyeshadow, shape your eyebrow with a medium angled brush. I used Coastal Scent 88 Eye Shadow Makeup Palette
5. Using a black eyeliner, draw an eyeline from the inner to outer edges of your upper lashline and don't forget to leave a wing tip at the end as this will lift up you upper eyelid and make your eyes look longer. I used NYX retractable eyeliner, this by far the BEST eyeliner I have ever use compare to all the other drugstore brand eyeliners I used before. Highly recommended if you are looking for a good jet black eyeliner!

 6. Using a white eyeliner, apply an eyeline on your lower lash line as this will make you eyes look bigger. I used NYX Slide on White Eyeliner, again this is the best that I tried so far. You have to see my happy dance when I first try it on!!

 7. Using an eye shading brush, apply silver/metallic eye shadow over your eyelid. If you have round eyes like me, apply your eye shadow all the way to the inner eye corner

 8. Apply a dark purple eyeshadow above your eye crease line
 9. To make your eyes look even bigger, apply upper and lower false eyelashes. I used Revlon Precision Lash Adhesive and it works perfectly. Again, highly recommended
To give you a better picture, this is how I painted my eyes
 Excuse my horrible photoshop skills!
Last step: Contouring
Out of all the makeup steps, I think this is by far the most important step as this is what can actually change your face features to whatever way you want. Since this is the most important step of this makeup look, I have drawn it out to show you how I apply my highlight, my blush and my shading.

With a dark brown eyeshadow (as long as it is three shades darker than your own skin tone), start contouring your nose by shading the side of your nose as this will make your nose look straighter and smaller. Also apply bronzer right below your cheek bone and on the side of your forehead as this will give defined cheekbones and hide receding hairline

With a Revlon Rosy Glow Cream Blush, apply it to the apple of your cheek

Lastly highlight all the areas as it appear on my photo. I used a regular concealer (Physicians Formula Mineral Correcting Concealer) as highlight for this makeup look

Tah-Dah this completes my makeup look

My friend said I look like a latin girl, what ethnic do you think I look like?

Today, I brought you a look inspired by the Hippie Era. Hope you like it!

Denim vest - Urban Behavior
