Fear is Good

After two sets of badass photo, today I brought to you guys my new set of angelic pictures: Simple elegance. In my fashion world, I can never stay in one colour for a long time. I am just a colour playboy that way. So to contrast my black outfits, I am wearing white instead. And guess where these pictures are taken this time, it's taken at a FIRE HALL! You ask why there? because that's the only place that opens 24/7 and looks decent that my friend and I can find! My friend works late shift so nighttime is the only time when my photoshoot can be done. That's why some of my previous pictures are taken in weird places such as at a parking lot, in a room or like this time at a fire hall! The whole time when I was posing in the front entrance of the fire hall, I was praying that no firefighters will come out and yell at us despite that I love to check them out. Just the term firefighters make them sound hot enough. Anyways

Eleanor Roosevelt once said "do one thing everyday that scares you" (saw this quote at a commercial). I strongly believe that fear is the main obstacle to success. I am a shy person (even though I don't look like one). I am poor in speaking in public or even when meeting new people, my shyness will keep me from making new friends and I hate the fear that is inside of me. To overcome my fear, I learn to push myself off the comfort zone and challenge myself to do things that I am very scared of. For example, I once volunteered as a stage performer. And this time, I pose in front of a fire hall. I would not say I can do one thing everyday that scares me (I am sure I will get a heart attack if I do) but I would definitely keep myself away from my comfort zone from time to time because
overcoming our fear is the fuel that can push us closer to success.

Enough said, here are the pictures!

Bad Girl Inside of Me

Someone once asked me "what is the most crazy thing that you've done in life?" I thought for a minute and I realized I have never done anything crazy or out of the ordinary in my entire life so far (well, aside from shaving my head bald for a cancer drive). I always do things by the rules. Marilyn Monroe once said
"If I'd followed all the rules I'd never have gotten anywhere"
I totally admire someone who can said that and live life that way because that only means she go all out to achieve her goals. I am not saying I am going to break the rules. I can't since my moral is already so deeply ingrained in me. But what I can do instead to satisfy my little bad side of me is I can pretend to be like one.
Brought to you my a little bit of goth and punk style outfit.
BOO!

What I am wearing:
Faux leather jacket - got it from random store in Taiwan
Chain necklace - Forever 21
Black top - DIY from tee-shirt
Ripped legging - Ardene
Neon Heels - H&M
Black leather bag - Zara

The real me :b

"The World is a Stage, You Can Be Who You Want to Be

Recently I watched a comedy movie called 21 Jump Street and I absolutely love it! It also brought back many high school memories. To those who have no clue what I am talking about, the movie is about two men who act as undercovers in a local high school in attempt to bring down a dangerous drug ring. One eventually became one of the most popular kid in the school while the other made friends with the nerds (unpopular kids) and consider as the outcast. I was once a nerd (one of the unpopular kid) in high school who was never involved in any school events. All I do is study, study and more study. High school to me was all about marks and perfect attendance. There was not a single element of fun that took part in my entire high school life. Now looking back, I really regret how I wasted my high school years. Regret is a useless emotion but yet sometimes, I just can't help looking back.

To make up for my colourless life in the past, I've decided to live a meaningful life (at least to me) Do whatever I want to do. Eat whatever I want to eat. Live however I want to live. And most importantly dress however I want to dress which is why I want to show you guys this new set of photos which is nothing like my other pictures. This is me dressing in punk style! Hope you guys like it :)

Did I scared you?

What I was wearing:
Black faux leather dress, chain necklace - H&M
Faux leather jacket - unknown
Leather clutch - American Apparel
Ripped Legging, ripped gloves, headband - Ardene
Shoes - Nine West

Oh and I got my black ring from Little Burgundy
The world is a stage, be anyone you want to be!

There more pictures on my facebook page, so don't forget to follow me here. Once again, thank you for all the sweet comments. I do read every one of them and reply to all.

Worst Poser Ever!

I have a super hard time posing in front of the camera. Whenever my best friend is taking pictures of me, I would start giggling or laughing. If not, I would be standing stiff as stone even my facial expression can froze in front of the camera. To make it even worst, I love to lift my chin up (unintentionally) showing my nostril to the world. That is one of the bad habits I have when I walk. My friend always joke about it saying my head walks first before my feet. On picture day, my poor friend has to constantly remind me to relax and lower my chin. And she also teaches me how to pose in front of the camera. She came up with all sorts of creative/funky poses which I truly thank you. If it wasn't for her, there won't be the comfortable me smiling in the pictures!

This set of pictures were taken indoor since it was late by the time I finished dressing up so no fancy setting but I promise my next set of photos will be at a different setting. Hope you like them!

 What I am wearing:
Brown cape (not sure if this is the right name for that): H&M
White drape: DIY from tee-shirt
Yellow belt: Ardene
Clutch: Aldo
Boots: H&M

Funky pose invented by my best friend :)

Oh I really want to show you guys this new ring I bought from Little Burgundy and my pink nail polish. Super lovin' it!

Bib necklace from Forever 21

My pink theme makeup

Another funky pose of me!
That's all for now. I have more funky pictures on my Facebook page. Click here to check it out! And don't forget to like my page to follow me. Once again, thank you all for the lovely comments! I love reading them and will definitely reply all the comments. Stay tuned for the next post "The World is a Stage, You Can Be Who You Want to Be"

Walking In The Woods With My Heels On

Yup that's right! I walk in the woods with my heels on to do this photoshoot because I am dumb enough to forget to bring an extra pair of comfortable shoes despite that I know I will be picture taken in the woods. So yes, I did receive many pairs of weird stares from many people who pass by *awkward moment*. Thank goodness it did not take long for us to find this beautiful setting. Even though pictures are done in half an hour, my feet is already hurting which is why I totally envy how the models can stand/walk on heels for long hours. I love heels dearly but they are just painful to walk in! For me, I can only walk on heels for no longer than two hours, any time longer than that, you will start to see an old lady limping on the street. And this is exactly what happened after the photoshoot because I have to do grocery shopping for my house AGAIN and this time with heels on arghhhh (sometimes I really wish that I have a refrigerator can refill itself with food) I don't remember how I survive the trip, I only remember a voice repeating non-stop in my head the whole way "Take my heels off"! That's my story of the day!

Many pictures were taken today and here are some of the pictures...

I am wearing:
 Coral Blazer - H&M
Clutch - Club Monaco
Pants - H&M
Nude Heels - BCBG
Earrings - Old Navy

Floral seashell earrings!! Addicted to the floral trend!!

My hair clip that match my earrings :)
This is how high of a heel that I've been walking in...
Me trying out all sorts of random poses
A stiff picture of me

That's all! Hope you like my pictures and let me know what do you think about the outfit! If you want to see more pictures of today, don't forget to follow me on Facebook and Lookbook (links are located on the right side of my blog). Again, thank you for all the lovely comments that you guys left me.

Sweating feels GOOD!

Yesterday my friend and I went to Bikram Yoga and tried out our first lesson and I have to tell you my body feels so good! Even though it can be suffocating at times but I love it! I am the type of person who never sweat (not a single drop) no matter how much I exercise but yesterday that yoga class made me feel like I am in a shower twice and that feels AWESOME! I have always envy people who can sweat when they exercise (well not the odor of course) because they just look so healthy and finally I have a chance to feel that YAY!! For that entire yoga class, I was so hyped up cause of my sweat! Hot yoga will definitely be my top pick exercise. Oh forgot to mention another reason I love hot yoga so much is you get to check out guys' body and yes there are a couple of hot ones in my class! Two score!

Today I have posted for you guys my post-yoga pictures. I have basically no make-up on except for putting on eyeliner and lipstick (lipstick is actually not a good idea cause there are poses where you have to lie flat on your face. And yes I did ended with a mat with pink kisses) so do excuse my bare look.

I am wearing:
Neon Top - another DIY t-shirt
Tennis Shorts - Adidas
Socks - Target
Shoes - Converse
Me and my pink nail polish! Always remember to show some love to your nails!

DIY tee-shirt

Fooling around in one of the yoga poses I learned :)
That's all for now, hope you guys like my look. Let me know what you guys think! And thank you thank you thank you for the beautiful comments!

Gradient Pants or Do I Look Like I Wet My Pant!?

I have seen many people wearing gradient top/pants but could not find one that I like in Vancouver. So I decided to DIY my own gradient pant by bleaching a grey pant that I no longer wear and see if I can turn it into something that is more trendy. It took me a day to bleach the pant and I realize the lightest colour my pant can go is to a lighter grey colour. At first, I was very proud of the result but when I try it on and look at myself in the mirror, the darker grey part of the pant really make me look like I wet my pant :S So here are my shots of the day. Let me know what you think!
Me happily in my outfit of the day :)

 What I was wearing:
Grey Leather Jacket: Zara
Top: Esprit
Scarf: Random
Grey gradient pant: DIY Gradient Effect
Bag: Zara
Sunglasses: H&M
Earrings: Value Village
Simple is best! Red is best!
Super love the new sunglasses I bought <3

Hope you like my new outfit! And thank you for everyone who left me comments. I love all the commenting and will definitely reply.
